The Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Tom Watson claims that Google should fall in line with other online platforms like Facebook, Twitter & Instagram that have already removed the political activist, independent journalist and author Tommy Robinson from posting on their platforms, Mr Watson has insisted that removing Tommy Robinson from Youtube is “as a matter of utmost urgency”.
The Labour Party has jumped on the bandwagon of removing Tommy Robinson’s right to free speech after Paypal, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have already removed Tommy’s accounts for supposedly violating their policies.
“He has also behaved in ways that violate our policies around organized hate,” Social media giant Facebook claimed. “As a result, in accordance with our policies, we have removed Tommy Robinson’s official Facebook Page and Instagram profile.”
Tommy Robinson commented on Facebook’s decision to de-platform him: “I’ve breached no laws of Facebook, everyone is going to know that I’ve breached no rules, what I’ve done is shown people the truth and that is what they are removing, the truth. People will still find me.”
Tom Watson branded Tommy Robinson as a: “Violent, racist Islamophobic campaigner”, he is effectively trying to force the Google CEO into removing the account for Tommy Robinson by releasing the letter to the media.
Tommy Robinson posted an update with a video on YouTube, he blasted:
“Now the full force of the institutionally Jew hating UK Labour part (in the form of Tom Watson) is trying to get me pushed off YouTube. Twitter fell to the hate mob, Facebook/Insta fell: it’s like a game of dominos. Will Google YouTube resist the demands for censorship from the UK’s opposition political party whose own members are being called out for Jew hatred every other day?”
Majid Nawas, founding Chairman of Quilliam and radio host on LBC, tweeted in disgust of the big-tech companies and the Labour Party:
“These tech platforms neglect jihadist terrorists & paedophilic content. Hamas, Hizbollah, other terrorists & pedophile rings still operate online. Your own party objected to a UK ban on Hizbollah. Meanwhile, you’re busy deplatforming legal personas non-grata —> 1st world problems”
It is clearly absurd for the Labour Party and Tom Watson to demand that Tommy Robinson is removed from YouTube, especially when they don’t seem to have any issue with countless terrorist organizations, rape gangs or anti-Semitism.
