Nine illegal migrants were found to have landed on a beach in Folkestone, Kent this morning, they arrived on-board a dinghy.
Among the illegal migrants they were five men, one woman and three children.
Littlestone Lifeboat Station made a statement regarding the incident: “With guidance from rescue helicopter 163 from Lydd, the vessel was found with its occupants safely ashore.
“The Police and Border Force were in attendance.”
Reportedly four illegal immigrants have also landed in Dover via a small vessel, illegal migration via the English Channel is getting completely and utterly out of control.
Charles Brett Anthony Elphicke MP, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Dover commented on the crisis: “With well over 100 migrants having broken into Britain in recent weeks the (Home Office and National Crime Agency) need urgently to explain what they are doing to put a stop to these crossings.
“This is an incredibly dangerous crossing to make in the middle of winter. Our volunteer lifeboat crews are being called out nearly every day. The British and French authorities must get a grip and find and stop the traffickers…before there is a tragedy.”
BNN News has reported on a few similar incidents recently and they only seem to be becoming more systematic. Does our incumbent government actually realise that illegal immigration is a crime? Why do they allow them the right to stay? The Home Office has some explaining to do, I wonder if they will bother replying to our efforts of contact? I highly doubt it…
The British government must take a much firmer and more sensible approach in regards to illegal migration via the English Channel, we must use this opportunity to show the world we will not tolerate our sovereign borders being used as a gateway for people traffickers, the illegal transportation of drugs and economic migrants.
