British Prime Minister Theresa May has criticised Tony Blair’s perpetual scheming to halt Brexit, she slammed the former PM in a very out of character fashion.
Tony Blair, alongside other out of touch British Euro-nationalists like Sir Nick Clegg, Sir John Major and Lord Heseltine, have all perpetually made attempts to stop or slow down the United Kingdom exiting the European Union.
Mrs. May chose to respond to the interference from Tony Blair by stating: “For Tony Blair to go to Brussels and seek to undermine our negotiations by advocating for a second referendum is an insult to the office he once held and the people he once served.
“We cannot, as he would, abdicate responsibility for this decision.
“Parliament has a democratic duty to deliver what the British people voted for.”
May went on to say: “Too many people who want to subvert the process for their own political interests. Rather than acting in the national interest.”
Theresa May is spot on about Tony Blair’s unpatriotic and disgusting behaviour, but still extremely foolish to continue backing her awful deal with that horn in the side “backstop”that MPs just will not accept.
If she genuinely wanted to fulfil the “democratic duty to deliver what the British people voted for.” She would immediately and effectively leave the European Union without a deal (No Deal Brexit) Instead of advertising this option as a dire last resort, which of course works in Brussels favour.
