The level of overall net migration into the United Kingdom is 273,000 per year.

Fresh statistics from the Office of National Statistics claim that 273,000 more people entered than left Britain in the year up to June 2018.

During the year, 625,000 more moved to the UK compared to the the 351,000 that left.

Migration from nations outside the EU is increasing with 326,000 being non-EU citizens. Migration from outside the EU is at it’s highest level since 2004.

Overall net EU migration was 74,000. There were 219,000 EU-member states citizens that moved to the United Kingdom.

The mantra of mass uncontrolled migration has not ended since the United Kingdom voted to leave the European project despite migration being a key factor in many leave voters minds when they voted to to leave the European Union.

What happened to the Conservative’s promise of bringing migration down to the tens of thousands? Most notably under David Cameron’s premiership when he broke his ‘no ifs, no buts’ migration pledge bring migration down. One thing for certain, that pledge has been long forgotten…

If, the Tory government hope to remain an electable political force at the next general election they must re-take the UK’s sovereignty and finally fulfil their almost historic pledge to bring migration down to the: tens of thousands.
