Esther McVey becomes the latest resignation as she resigns as Work and Pensions Secretary amid Theresa May’s government in shambles over the Brexit deal.
McVey blasted for betraying the referendum Theresa May: “The deal you put before Cabinet yesterday does not honour the result of the referendum.”
The former Work and Pensions Secretary attacked the Prime Minister’s position by using her old catchphrase against her: “Any deal is better than No Deal.”
She finished by writing: “I cannot defend this, and I cannot vote for this deal. I could not look my constituents in the eye were I to do that. I therefore have no alternative but to resign from the Government.”
Theresa May’s proposed Brexit deal is completely indefensible.
How many more resignations does Theresa May need on her desk before she realises her own party and country are not behind her on her treasonous Brexit deal?
