British pub company JD Wetherspoon is set to ditch EU brands of alcoholic beverages and replace them with alternative brands that are cheaper for the consumer from England and other non-EU nations by end of September.
Wetherspoons seems to be the only big business in the country truly standing up for Britain and proving Britain does not depend on goods and services from the EU to survive.
Tim Martin the Chairman of JD Wetherspoon, an ardent Brexiteer, had this to say: “The three new products will be offered at a lower price than those they are replacing.”
Tim Martin also claimed that the consumers enjoyed the new alcohol: “In blind tastings conducted by Wetherspoon, the new products were more popular than those they are replacing.
“All EU products have UK or non-EU replacements, often at equal or better quality and price. It’s important to remember that 93% of the world is outside the EU.”
The CEO of Jägermeister UK responded by saying: “Naturally we are disappointed that UK consumers will no longer be able to enjoy our products at Wetherspoons venues.
“We have always enjoyed a close working relationship with JD Wetherspoon and are sorry to be parting in this way.”
What is English Strika?
Strika is a herbal liqueur that is produced here in England. It is an English alternative to the German Jägermeister you commonly see people drink mixed with energy drinks to create a: “Jägerbomb”
Strika, is believed to have an extremely similar taste to Jägermeister and of course mixing very well energy drinks just like it’s German alternative.
Strikabombs sound much better anyway.
EU nations like Germany rely on British consumers a lot more then British consumers rely on goods such as alcohol, vehicles and pharmaceuticals from the EU. If Brussels is not careful they will lose a very valuable friend, ally and trade partner. The ball is in our court, it is a shame the political establishment in Westminster do not see it that way…
