A pressure group called Migration Watch UK have slammed the British government for not reducing non-EU migration as well as calling for more sensible polices on the border.
The overall figures for the year ending in March in terms of non-EU migration has surged to 235,000. The campaign group, Migration Watch say the British government have not brought the migration statistics down whilst having the capability to do it.
Migration Watch UK, claim that the Treasury:
“Have long favoured continued immigration simply to boost the overall size of the economy regardless of the impact on wider society and despite the absence of evidence for the UK of any significant benefit to GDP per head”.
Migration Watch UK Chairman Lord Green, blasted:
“So why has non-EU migration risen while much of the focus is on EU migration and Brexit? The answer is that the government have taken their eye off the ball, indeed they have been asleep at the switch. Nearly three-quarters of non-British net migration comes from outside the EU yet they are doing nothing about reducing it. It is high time that the new Home Secretary got into gear.”
Who wants mass migration to increase? Big business and universities, because they make vast sums of money out of the current situation we find ourselves in. This does not generally benefit normal working-class people going about their day.
The pressure group are demanding that the border receive more financial aide and to take a firmer approach on policing the border. They believe all visa applicants that are students should undergo interviews, English tests in terms of language capabilities and a financial test for relatives alongside other requirements.
Brits voted to take back control of their borders and to end the mantra of mass uncontrolled migration. The public have heard time and time again, how the government are committed to reducing immigration numbers down to the tens of thousands. It never happens.
