MPs from the Conservative Party are giving new members a warm reception, which is in response to the remoaners like Anna Soubry.
This is after Conservative Party Associations up and down the UK are revealing a surge new members since Theresa “The Appeaser” May’s farcical Chequer’s deal was made public, Leave.EU is Brexit supporting pressure group that campaigned for the UK’s exit from the EU during the referendum, and they have been asking their online fan-base to ride the “Blue Wave” and join the Tories to back a Brexiteer candidate in the next leadership election.
Robert Halfon the Conservative MP for Harlow, had this to say to The Guardian in response to the new membership increase:
“We must be the only party in history complaining because we have more members.”
Halfon, went on to explain:
“If some Brexit people decide to join because they believe that this party is going to keep the referendum promise. Well, I’m delighted. And this is from someone who voted Remain.”
Robert Halfon MP, also took to Twitter a couple days ago to blast:
“This is utter nonsense from Soubs. We shld be delighted & welcoming new members whatever their #Brexit views. Delighted tht @HarlowTories membership has increased by 24% because we”re an active #compassionate community focused @Conservatives Association.”
Marcus Fysh the Tory MP for Yeovil, claimed that:
“The Conservative Party should be a broad church and if people want to join the party, then that should be up to them.”
Marcus Fysch also took to Twitter to demand that the Chequer’s plan was chucked.
Daniel Kawczynski the Conservative MP for Shrewsbury wrote to Sir Graham Brady the Chairman of the backbench 1922 Committee demanding to know why Arron Banks membership had been seemingly blocked.
Daniel Kawczynski, also took to Twitter to point out:
“We have accepted former Labour and Lib Dem councillors and even MPs who campaigned against us in past so what’s the difference?”
You could argue it is extremely obvious why so many MPs that didn’t want us to leave the European Union are unhappy about the new Brexiteer members, they are running scared they will lose their seats.
They must remember they stood on a manifesto that that supported our withdrawal from the European Union. This is democracy and they must accept the will of the people.
