The President of Poland Andrzej Duda met with political leaders in Australia on Monday to discuss trade and international security.
Polish President Duda visited Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull alongside the leader of the opposition party Bill Shorten at the Parliament just before they laid a wreath to pay respect at the Australian War Memorial.
Polish President Duda first started his tour in Sydney on Thursday and will reportedly end his visit on Thursday in Melbourne.
Australian Prime Minister Turnbull claimed this visit was a great chance to talk about how it could benefit all involved, which would include an extremely ambitious Australia-European Union free trade agreement/deal boosting trade links.
Turnbull went on to say in a statement;
“Australia strongly values its warm relationship with Poland as an important member state of the European Union that shares Australia’s commitment to international security and open trade,”
The European Union and Australian are already in trade talks, they started back in June which was the first round of the negotiations. The United Kingdom has a far larger economy than Australia. If Australia can secure a free deal deal/agreement then why can the United Kingdom not?
