Boris Johnson is refusing to apologise after his comments regarding the Burka, Theresa May the British Prime Minister and most of the remoaner Conservative Party figures are trying to force Boris to apologise.
Boris did not even demand the burkha was banned (which most of the British public support) he authored a column in The Telegraph, here is what Bo Jo said; “I would go further and say that it is absolutely ridiculous that people should choose to go around looking like letter boxes.”
This led to Conservative Party Chairman, Brandon Lewis demanding Boris apologised and even Mrs. May said his remarks were offensive and claimed Boris used the “wrong language” Theresa made it very clear she supports the Burkha and the right to wear it.
Someone close to Boris claimed he had no intention of backing down, reportedly a source said; “It is ridiculous that these views are being attacked – we must not fall into the trap of shutting down the debate on difficult issues.
“We have to call it out. If we fail to speak up for liberal values then we are simply yielding ground to reactionaries and extremists.”
Westmonster conducted a poll in which showed near total support for Boris, amazingly 96% said he does not need to apologise for his comments.
The clock ticks as time runs out for Boris Johnson to apologise, let’s hope political correctness does not force him into an apology. The Burka is not supported by Brits and criticism of it should not be banned by the political establishment.
