Looking forward from the Royal Wedding, there has been a surge in support for the monarchy in the United Kingdom.
Chief Exec of polling firm Ipsos MORI, Ben Page, has conducted a poll that has found 75% of recipients supported the idea that the monarchy is important in the future of the United Kingdom.
Back in 1997, it was 66%. It is a recording breaking amount of support for the monarchy.
I think this makes it pretty evident that the monarchy is integral to the future and prosperity of the UK and that fact is supported by a vast majority of the British public. Our constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy are what makes sets us apart from a republic and maybe it’s something we should we all be proud of.
