Former White House Chief strategist and Breitbart boss, Steve Bannon claimed the EU had been  ‘vicious and dismissive’ to the UK during the Brexit negotiations and have had little interest in the democratic result of the referendum.

US President, Donald J. Trump’s former strategist blasted:“Brussels has been vicious and dismissive (towards Britain). The contempt that Brussels has shown for the mandate of the working men and women of Great Britain, who want out, has been to me nothing short of shocking.

“They haven’t accommodated anything, they have made everything as tough as possible. It’s not even been a negotiation. It’s been by fiat.

“They are going to test the resolve of the British people. They are going to throw up every road block.”

The former boss of Breitbart, Bannon also said: “I would say to the Italians, look at how Brussels has responded to the mandate the British people gave their government to get out (of the EU).

“Eighteen months later, the British have very little to show as far as exit negotiations go.”

“the most important thing happening politically in the world right now” and could revive the populist revolution driven by Brexit and Trump’s election.

He is not wrong at all! Because of the EU’s abhorrence for indigenous working class communities having a voice, their disregard for nation state democracy/ sovereignty and hatred for the democratic will of the people it’s caused Conservative-populism and Euro-scepticism to surge all across Europe.
